Bio
Tomas is a lighting designer and theatre consultant based in Melbourne/Naarm. Tomas completed a short course in lighting design at NIDA in 2023. He has completed professional secondments with Opera Australia on Cendrillon (Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House) and with Shake & Stir Theatre on 1984 (Comedy Theatre, Melbourne).
Tomas has furthered his studies with practical experience as a lighting technician and realiser at the Victorian College of the Arts, Resolution X, and Melbourne Opera, in the heart of Melbourne's arts precinct. He also brings over 10 years of experience in independent theatre productions. He has received Victorian Lyrebird Youth Awards for his lighting design (Chicago) and projection design (The Caucasian Chalk Circle).

As a theatre consultant, Tomas has worked on many notable venues in Australia, including the State Theatre at Arts Centre Melbourne, the QPAC Lyric, Playhouse, and NPAV, and the Riverside theatres. He was also a youth advisor for the Australian Theatre for Young People (ATYP) in 2024.

In the theatre, Tomas enjoys using light to enhance storytelling. He is inspired by nature and often uses diegetic lighting to motivate his designs.​​
